Holiday Inn Resort®Kandooma Maldives Wins Gold at the AEC Culinary Challenge 2015

UntitledThe culinary team of Holiday Inn Resort ®Kandooma has won the prestigious “Gold Medal” from the recently concluded Asian Economy Countries (AEC)
Culinary Challenge 2015 held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC)
on September 2-5, 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Executive Chef Vincent Tan together with Chef Nguyen Truong Luat and Chef Truong Vinh Co representing the resort, participated in the competition which was themed “Inspire and Create
the ASEAN Cuisines of Tomorrow”, organized by the Bangkok Exhibition Services Ltd., BESthrough its Food and Hotel Thailand (FHT) 2015 program, a premium international 5-star food
and hospitality trade event in Thailand.

A sum of 8 countries partook in in the AEC Culinary Challenge 2015.

Holiday Inn Resort®Kandooma Maldives represented Vietnam and turned out to be the competition’s grand winner by preparing, cooking, and presenting cuisines famous from the
seven competing nations. Thailand took home silver while Philippines, Cambodia, and Myanmar reaped the bronze award.
“The latest award our team received is another testimony of our dedication and passion to outstanding culinary services we provide our guests and is a reflection of the hotel’s effort in
creating Great Hotels Guests Love”, said Vincent Tan, Executive Chef of Holiday Inn Resort®Kandooma Maldives.
Meanwhile, Joseph Della Gatta, the Resort General Manager expressed his delight to the latest feat of the Culinary Team. “It’s my pleasure to be working with these talented people that the
company really sees as its core assets. I’m really proud to be part of this award-winning family”, said Joseph.
The Culinary Team of the Resort is just flexing their muscles as they prepare for another challenge on September 18 – 21, 2015 where they will participate in the Maldives Culinary Challenge 2015.
